Professor Charles Kim, mechanical engineering, is the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Faculty Award from the Kern Family Foundation for his accomplishments in the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN). He will be presented with the award at the 2016 KEEN Winter Conference on Jan. 5, in Tempe, Ariz.

The Kern Family Foundation is a grant making organization focused on enriching American lives by, among many other things, increasing education achievement, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and instilling an entrepreneurial mindset, especially in undergraduate engineering students.
