A group of Bucknell University students from the Management 101 class was recently honored by the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA (GSV-YMCA) for its efforts this past fall. The group, which made up the company DiversiTees for the YMCA’s Needs (Company D from the course), garnered the GSV-YMCA Milton Branch 2015 Harman Teen Center Award for the company’s service project, which consisted of painting a mural in the teen room of the Milton YMCA branch and making a substantial donation to the YMCA to go towards a room renovation.
The company supported these service endeavors by selling long-sleeve pocket T-shirts, which featured 54 bison, each with individual flags of all the countries represented at Bucknell, as well as the slogan “One World, One Herd.” More information on this award and company activities can be found in this MGMT 101 Co D – Fall 2015 Synopsis.
