George J. Pierson, Esq., ’84, a Bucknell University alumnus, was recently honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) with the 2016 Outstanding Projects and Leaders Lifetime Achievement Award for Management. He will be given the honor at an awards gala in March.
Pierson is currently the president of The Pierson Advisory Group and previously was president and CEO of Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. Pierson has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bucknell, a master’s degree in civil engineering from California-Berkeley, a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California. He was previously honored with the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award by the College of Engineering in 2010 and was the inspiration behind the Engineering Success Alliance (ESA), which provides tutoring assistance to first-year students who show great potential to be excellent engineering majors but who did not have a strong high school education in mathematics and related skills.
