Yesterday, it was announce that Walmart has acquired Jet.com, an e-commerce startup company, for $3 billion. Referenced in the article is Jet.com CEO Marc Lore ’93, a Bucknell University graduate, who will stay on as CEO of the company after the acquisition is finalized.
Earlier this year, Lore, whose wife Carolyn Lore ’94 is also a Bucknell graduate, assisted the White House to help lower the price of diapers for low-income families. Jet.com is only a little over a year old, having launched in the summer of 2015.
Lore holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell, where he pursued an interdepartmental major.
