The Bucknell student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) recently received a Commendable award for its activities during the 2015-16 academic year. The announcement also cited chemistry lab director Patrick Martino for special commendation for his great commitment of time and energy and whose efforts “certainly represent the best in undergraduate science education and mentoring around the country.”
The Bucknell ACS chapter was one of 93 that received a Commendable award out of more than 400 chapters that submitted activity reports for the last academic year. The winning chapters will receive their awards at the 253rd ACS National Meeting in San Francisco in April.
