Joseph Salvino M’83, a graduate alumnus of Bucknell University, was recently appointed professor in the Molecular and Cellular Oncogenesis Program and Scientific Director of the Molecular Screening Facility at the Wistar Institute, an international biomedical research organization. Salvino comes to Wistar from the Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was a professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. He has more than 20 years of experience in drug discovery.
Salvino holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Bucknell, and also has a bachelor’s in chemistry from Kutztown and a doctorate in organic chemistry from Brown.
