Professor Ken Field, biology, and his work were recently mentioned in an article showing that describes how some hibernation spots for bats may now be safe from a disease that has been killing off bats for a decade.
White-nose syndrome has been the cause of death for million of bats across North America since it first struck about 10 years ago. Recently, however, some bats in some caves have been hanging on, and Prof. Field is part of a group of researchers attempting to find out the reason.
