It’s not everyone that gets an opportunity to have a bronze statue made of them, or at least pose as the stand-in subject of a bronze statue being made of someone else. Brice Sydnor ’19 recently had that opportunity as he posed for sculptor Jennifer Frudakis-Petry, who is in the process of putting together a statue of Emlen Tunnell, the first African-American player inducted into the National Football League Hall of Fame. Tunnell is a graduate of Radnor High School in Delaware County (Pa.), as is Sydnor. An article in the Delaware County Times recently told the story of Tunnell, Frudakis-Petry’s work and Sydnor’s involvement in the project.
Sydnor is currently undeclared but is planning to major in economics and plays on the Bucknell football team.
