This op-ed, co-authored by Janice Traflet, Howard I. Scott research professor of management in Bucknell’s Freeman College of Management, celebrates April 2 Equal Pay Day by reflecting back on activist Wilma Soss, a household name in the 1950s, who knew investing was an important tool of empowerment. Traflet is currently writing a book-length biography of Soss with Robert E. Wright, the Nef Family chair of political economy at Augustana (S.D.) University, who co-authored the op-ed. Also ran in the San Francisco Chronicle.
