Bucknell Professor Publishes Paper on Geomorphic Response to Tropical Storm Lee

Bucknell University professor Craig Kochel, geology and environmental geosciences and Benjamin Hayes, Director of the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment’s Watershed Sciences & Engineering (WSE) Program, recently had a paper published by Geosphere, an online research journal focused on geosciences. Bucknell alumni Jason Muhlbauer ’13, Zac Hancock ’13 and Darin Rockwell ’13 are also listed as co-authors of the paper.

The journal entry is titled “Geomorphic response to catastrophic flooding in north-central Pennsylvania from Tropical Storm Lee (September 2011): Intersection of fluvial disequilibrium and the legacy of logging.”
