Bucknell Post Doctoral Fellow Part of Research Team That Discovered a New Fruit in Hawaii

Jason Cantley, a Burpee post doctoral fellow at Bucknell University in the Department of Biology, is the lead author of a new study that was recently published in the PhotoKeys journal that details the discovery of a new Hawaiian plant that has heart-shaped fruits. The plant is a member of the coffee family and has been confirmed as a new species, which so far has only been found on the island of Maui. It has been named Coprosma cordicarpa.
