The North Carolina Sea Grant and North Carolina Space Grant recently awarded one of two inaugural graduate research fellowships to Lindsey Smart ’07, a Bucknell University alumna. The fellowships offer graduate students in North Carolina support for research within the state’s nearshore environs and coastal watersheds.
Smart is a doctoral candidate at North Carolina State. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell in biology, as well as a master’s degree in environmental management and geographic information systems from Duke.
