Scott Messing ’90 Promoted to CEO at Youth For Understanding USA

Scott Messing ’90, a graduate of Bucknell University, was recently promoted to CEO of Youth For Understanding USA, a nonprofit, international education organization that runs intercultural exchange programs. Messing has been the organization’s vice president and chief operating officer since 2014, and prior to that served as chief of staff at the National Association of Attorneys General. He also has served under three governors of Pennsylvania as a chief administrative officer in the Governor’s Office of Administration, the deputy secretary of administration at the Pennsylvania Department of State, and as a deputy commissioner for Professional Licensing.

Messing holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell in international relations and German studies.
