Steven Hoerter ’91, a Bucknell University alumnus, was recently appointed to the board of directors of Ignyta, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on precision medicine in oncology. Hoerter is currently the chief commercial officer of Agios Pharmaceuticals and has more than 20 years of experience in the global pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He was previously the executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Clovis Oncology, Inc.
Hoerter holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and Russian studies from Bucknell, and also has an MBA from Purdue. His wife, Jeanne Hoerter ’92, is also a Bucknell graduate.
