Having The Wright Attitude: How Villanova Learned to be Champs

A new book recently debuted that profiles Jay Wright ’83, the head men’s basketball coach at Villanova. Titled Long Shots: Jay Wright, Villanova, and College Basketball’s Most Unlikely Champion and authored by ESPN.com senior writer Dana O’Neil, the book chronicles the path that Wright and his Villanova program took to winning the 2016 NCAA national championship. Thepostgame.com recently ran an excerpt from this new publication, which features references to his time at Bucknell as well as his former teammate and former Bison men’s basketball coach Pat Flannery ’80 M’83.

Wright holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from Bucknell.
