Professor Chris Martine, biology, recently wrote a column in which he encouraged his fellow scientists to engage in and embrace more self-promotion, especially in light of the new presidential administration’s “crusade against science.” In the piece, he says it is now more important than ever for scientists to “demonstrate why their work matters and why it is dangerous to keep the public in the dark.”
