In this feature story in the Muncy Luminary, the legacy of Elizabeth Meek, Bucknell University Class of 1905, is looked back upon. Meek was the first woman in Pennsylvania to earn a doctorate degree, which she received in education from the Pennsylvania State Teachers College (now Penn State). Meek also earned a master’s degree from Bucknell in 1908.
