South Sudan Tries to Protect Wildlife After Long Conflict

The Associated Press
South Sudan is trying to rebuild its six national parks and 13 game reserves following a five-year civil war. DeeAnn Reeder, a conservationist and biology professor at Bucknell who has done research there, called the wildlife conservation efforts in this story, “significant but relatively small in scale given the vastness of the country” that still has the potential for surprise. The story was also published by ABC News, The New York Times, Houston Chronicle and The San Diego Union-Tribune, among others.
