China Should Support Taiwan’s Return to the World Health Assembly

Professor Zhiqun Zhu, political science and international relations, argues in his op-ed that as the 75th World Health Assembly (WHA) meeting approaches, China may wish to rethink its “diplomatic suffocation” strategy toward Taiwan. Zhu wrote that several reasons make it desirable for Beijing to change its mind and publicly welcome Taiwan’s participation in the WHA this year.
